  The film was produced by Jack Connolly, photographed by Ben Miggins, with the then miracle of sound handled by Harry Squires, D. F. Whiting, and Harry Kaw. Subsequently, Blackhawk Films was responsible for the full restoration of this rare film in 1974.

In the summer of 1927, Fox Movietone News arranged an interview with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle at his home in Windlesham, Sussex, England. The video below is what resulted in its entirety, covering Doyle's feelings of entrapment by the popularity of Sherlock Holmes, the various responses by mail from those who believed Holmes was a living being, as well as Doyle's devotion to Spiritualism and his firsthand experiences that convinced him of existing visitors from the afterlife.
